The Buchanan Park Recreation Center has a rock climbing wall, lazy river pool and a 2-story waterslide, in addition to a hot tub, sauna and weight room.
Golf and the country club are in Evergreen, which is a favorite for many of the residents of Evergreen, but if you aren’t a golfer, there are many other recreational opportunities. Evergreen, Colorado is surrounded by thousands of acres of Denver Mountain park land and the Jefferson County Open Space park system. No matter what you like to do, there are plenty of wide open spaces to do it.

The close proximity to Denver makes it a little pricier than some of the other suburbs that are further out, but the convenience is worth it to many of the successful working class that make Evergreen their home. This small town suburb has a population of just more than 10,000 people so it is a great place to raise a family and still be close to the big city and all the conveniences and entertainment it has to offer.
Public transportation is available in Evergreen on TheRide routes that run to downtown Denver. Highway 74 and County Road 73 link Evergreen to US 285 in Conifer, Colorado and I-70 can be reached, as well. The ease of public transportation makes the Denver commute more efficient for many of the residents, but the location is still linked to the Interstate system for those that don’t mind the traffic.
